| There were one or two threads just before Christmas on the Lumiquest softbox issue. I think everyone gave good reviews. I'll be picking one up actually. (The Lumiquest softbox). I wanted one for my last wedding but the camera store was sold out. |

The one thing to consider when buying a soft box for your flash is how it attaches to your flash. Some of them come with velcro attachments which can really muck up your flash.
I recently bought a lumiquest flash bouncer which velcros to my flash, it has actually disengaged part of the flashes faceplate from itself, not fun.

| I use both the Lumiquest Softboxes, mainly the Large on a 550ex mounted on a Stroboframe ProT bracket and sometimes the mini on a 420ex. I really like them in combination with the higher flash position a bracket gives you, when bouncing is not an option. I never shoot with bare flash, it's just too harsh. There is also a non-sticker velcro thing for you flash. Cinch Strap they call it I believe. I use it and altough it is not as sturdy as a fixed system it does its job wel.

how about a good rubberband? wouldnt that work?
