Justin,
Wonderful frost prints. Happy to see you have a window conducive to frost. I've found you need a dark background in order to have the frost jump out, as in your second photo. My colorful frost photos are taken on an east window with the sunrise behind the frost creating those wonderful colors. Good luck!

I don't seem to get frost like this. Is it because we're not cold enough, or because we're double-glazed, or what? I'm on Cape Cod, we have had a major cold snap (for us) and a blizzard (icecicles galore) but no frost like this. Temps in the 10 degree fahrenheit range is as low as we've gone.
On the other hand, the icicles are doing great. I shot this one as a "full" icecicle, then realized if I cropped it down and laid it on its side it looked like a mountain range...
