I only need 40 more "10" votes to end at a solid 7 for the week.......$80.00 is just a little too much for just a 7 ;'-D

Yeah, but a 7 is usually the winner for the week!

I don't mind 1's, but I wish the people who rate that low would give a reason... I caught someone giving me a one (psycho that I am, I actually figure out my vote point totals from update to update) and the comment total did not go up... very frustrating

I just received an email from my son-in-law, a 40-year-old accounting department employee. He noted that some of the comments I received on my Something New submission were "stupid" and "some people really need to get a clue."

Personally, I wouldn't be that harsh on those here. I understand the intent of this forum and I'm grown up enough to know when advice is worthwhile and when it is not. As someone else aptly observed, even I tend to average on the low side for grading others' pictures. So the thing I've learned from this is that we might need to lighten up on each other.

I did have one frustration during this past week, but I would be giving away a valuable hint if I mentioned it now, so when the pencil judging is over, look for my post.

I really enjoy the way people have different opinions and one person can absolutely contradict the last comment --this can be fun for the whole family---Love your use of the rule of thirds---then--why didnt you use the rule of thirds? well focussed---why is it out of focus---etc etc---this meets the challenge---doesnt meet the challenge!! Frustrating but it all shows you how difficult it is to predict peoples reactions---and why politicians use polls rather than their own gut feeling.
