In the Movie Titles, can you elaborate a bit further on the line that was used without a qualifier: This doesn't mean your photograph has to be somehow related to the actual movie.

Had the wording been: This doesn't mean your photograph has to be somehow related to the actual movie, though it can be.

It is my understanding from the expressions, "This does not mean" does not equal, "This should not be."

The real question: Is there the option(as expressed by your phrase) that the image does not have to be related, but that it could be related to a movie.

Too many literal interpretations force me to ask this question.

My interpretation is that "doesn't have to be" means that it may be related to the movie, but that the relationship is neither a requirement nor is it prohibited. Your options appear limitless!

This is how I interpreted it...As long as your movie title can be conveyed in the image it does not have to be related, i.e. "The Rock" could be Alcatraz or a rock or an portrait of an Italian name Rocco.
