Hi everyone, I have stepped away from DPC for awhile now (since I got 3rd with my Aura picture.... figured I needed to let the luck settle down a bit.) I needed some time to get things going and really work on going after my dreams of being a professional. Did I make my dreams come true? Kinda.
Since I left, I have had:
* 2 Jones soda lables (whoopie right!?) Pretty big for me!
* Had my story in the local newspaper
* I then was contracted by a local food company to come up with something for their new Spaghetti sauce line, and will be working with them in the near future
* I was asked to do a local charity event for the Animal Rescue League taking Pet Portraits
* That turned into family portraits all fall
* Avanti Press bought one of my images for a March release greeting card
* I am working with 2 local advertising companies
* And in the spring, my portraits kick back into gear
It has been an eventful year for me and I am hoping that I will find the time to participate here again. But I also hope that I can be just as busy and start my business in full swing!
All I know, is that it's good to be back here and keeping my mind challenged!!!
