OK I got your attention - sorry for that ;-)

Just looking for some comments - playing with my new toy (550ex and ST-E2) to fill flash the wall and gate.

I would appreciate any thoughts you have though.

nice capture the flash works well
but :)
I find the focus strange, I like the soft focus on the forground and the background but I think the gate should be in focus with or without the wall being in focus

Falc, I really like this shot. Why don't you explain how you got those results. Was the softfocus actually done in photoshop, or with the lens itself?

Hi photomayhem, yes the soft focus is a photoshop thing. I duplicated the layer, set it to 30% opacity, then hit it with gaussian blur. The I added a mask to kill the blur on the wall and gate.
