I don't really like the skin tones.
How can this be improved?
Thanks

Hi there. What specifically do you dislike about the skin tones?

I would suggest softening up the skin by applying a subtle gaussian blur for a soft focus effect. Alternatively you can give Kodak's Digital GEM Airbrush Pro filter a spin for automated softening of skintones. You can also use the hue/saturation sliders or color balance in PS to tweak individual color bands to your liking. There are numerous ways to get a soft lighting effect in post processing, if that's what you're after.

I'm no expert, but I think part of the problem may be the position of her left arm causes harsh shadows there and draws the eye away from the "whole picture"...it sort of breaks the photo into separate areas. Also, the makeup on her face makes her face look a different shade than the rest of her.

So post processing on this one, but for the future maybe looking a bit at the pose and the makeup / lighting? Just my very amateur observations!
