I was told my shots may be a little to artistic for the challenges, please check them out and let me know what you think of them, and please give me you honest opinion.

| When you said "artistic" I was thinking that you might have meant like overprocessed with ps or something of that nature. I love your photos, they have a lot of meaning to them and that is probably that "artsistic" the others are refering to. Great Job |

You have a very good eye. Your photos are very emotive, and that is a great thing. It's true, you're not going for "eye candy" so your scores in some cases may not reflect the true quality of the work. OTOH, you will still get some excellent feedback on how to improve. It would be great to see youin the challenges... good luck!

hey there medicine hat.. :) I am from swifty...
i don't think they are too artistic at all.
As long as you took images suited to a challenge, i'm sure they would do very well. If they had too abstract of an idea, that most people wouldn't get, they would suffere in score... but if you had an image in your style with not to much vagueness or complexity in how they meet the challenge... they would be great.

You will never know if your images are too artistic for the challenges until you enter some. Artistic images that clearly fit the challenge will do well in the voting while artisitc images that are not so clearly within the theme may suffer. Throw your hat in the water and see if it floats.
