I did a quick search (without success) and apologize if this is rehashing an old thread. Also, these views are my own and I'm sure there are many other thoughts on how people would like to see this website setup to suit their own needs. Here are my selfish DPC desires with respect to voting...
When I vote on a challenge, I go through every single image at the beginning of the challenge and determine a score. Throughout the week, I will revisit my votes and look at specific score groupings, i.e. all pictures rated a 5, then all pictures rated a ??. During my review of these images, I will compare each 5 and if I think it deserves to be bumped up (or down) will make the change.
ISSUE - If I change the score, I am automatically taken to back to page 1 and the highest rated photo. I then have to jump back to the page I was just on and then select the next image to review. This is very time consuming if I make several score changes.
Is it possible, that once I change a vote, it takes me to the next image rather than the highest rated image. I'm sure many other DPCer's go back through every (or many)image(s) to try and validate their initial vote but the current structure is discouraging from doing so, especially when you have over 200 entrants.
On another note, I would like to see statistics on how I voted with each challenge for example:
Challenge: ?????
Vote Cast / # of images
1 / 0
2 / 3
3 / 17
4 / 31
5 / 41
6 / 27
7 / 13
8 / 7
9 / 6
10 / 1
Average vote cast: 5.199
It would also be great to click on the # of images that I scored a 6 and have each thumbnail come up for that score so I can review how I voted and help me improve my consistency in future challenges.
Sorry for the long boring post...Just my thoughts.

Hi, I like your ideas but I doubt we will ever see it. The reason I donĂ¢€™t think it will happen is because some users at dpc does not want there voting [other than overall avg.] exposed. I on the other hand I donĂ¢€™t mind if they show every vote I have given.

If you feel you can "revise" your scores fromt he thumbnails page (there the ones you've voted on are grouped by score), you can click on the new vote-number for several, and the changes do not take effect until you refresh the page. |

I feel it is hard to determine if the photograph needs bumping by looking at the thumbnail. IMO because I want to look at the full view of the picture. |

Try this: from the thumbnails page, right-click on the picture you want to re-evaluate to bring it up in a new window. When you decide on the new score (if any), close the big picture window without voting on it, and then enter the change on the thumbnails page.
Repeat as necessary for other photos, then refresh the thumbs page. |

Thank you GeneralE, I will do that. Sometimes even the simple things don't come to mind I guess. I didn't even think about that. Again Thank you that will save me time. |

You're welcome -- most of the time I work on Macs without a right-button anyway, that's why I didn't think of it the first time! |
