OK guys...I've searched and searched and can't seem to find where I download the plug in to have photoshop elements 2.0 open the raw file from my canon.
I downloaded the 2.3 plug in (even though it said it was for CS) and tried that and it's a no go. I know I saw someone talk about doing it but I can't, for the life of me find it.
Thanks.

You can't do it. You need Elements 3.
EXCEPT: if you buy Bibble, which itself is worthwhile, it comes with a plugin that will load RAW files in Elements 2. Which may be a good thing, because there are some things in Elements 3 I really dislike. ESPECIALLY the autoscroll. |

If by chance you are still in school (or have a benefactor who is) go to academicsuperstore.com Photoshop CS is only $265.95. Probably worth it compared to an elements upgrade |

Yes, if you have the money. I still may spring for it personally. Elements 3 doesn't run the free actions available on the web. And it doesn't have a history brush.
But someone tell me--does PS CS have that same horrible behavior of autoscrolling when you get to the edge of your image (even if you have the whole image visible)? If you get near the edge while making a selection, E3 scrolls to the canvas space, ruining your selection or brish action, unless you keep the windows "normalized" (not maximized).

oh wow thanks a lot. I was under the assumption that it'd work with 2.0 -- I'm stupid.
I'm going to see about getting CS
