This appears to be a tough one, but maybe it's simple once one knows the answer.

I am trying to set up an "internet explorerless" PC. I use firefox and have the defaults set right, and it comes up when programs request web browsers.

The problem is that Windows Explorer still "turns into" IE when you type something in the address bar that doesn't immediately hit on the local hard drive. Like type "Desktop" (in the same manner you can type, successfully, "my documents". It turns Windows explorer into internet explorer, and then you're back to the same old vulnerabilities.

The machine I am trying to set up has Windows XP Home SP2. I tried TweakUI and didn't see any options. I don't think it has the group policy snap ins, so hopefully, the answer isnt' there.

Thanks in advance!
