This past January I purchased my Nikon D100. I immediately started to search websites to get more information about digital photography. When I came across dpchallenge.com I was just amazed with all of the very useful information that was posted in the different threads and immediately became a member.
My first challenge entry was for Textures ll and my final score was 4.829 "My lowest score so far" the photo I entered see here I took on a trip to central California and decided to enter for the challenge. Not my best work but I was eager to enter something for my first challenge. I received 30 comments and all were very helpful! Not to mention a "10" from"Jacko" woohoo!
I have entered 19 challenges to date and my scores for the most part have continued to improve with 4 top 10 finishes.
This past November we organized a Los Angeles DPC meet with the wonderful help of
" mirdonamy"Arie is definitely the nucleus of the Los Angeles meets! And it just so happens that Fritz "kirbic" was in the Los Angeles area on business and was able to join us! It was a wounderful opportunity to spend the afternoon with Fritz!
I would estimate I spend a couple of hours each day on DPC reading the different threads and I swear that kirbic has an educated reply to a great deal of them. Fritz, you are a great asset to this website and I encourage you and the rest of the DPC Site Council to keep up the great work in 2005!
Eric

Hey, thanks y'all!
Eric, I'll be in LA again the 22-24 of Feb, and will make sure I keep some time free to go shooting. I'll let you all know my schedule as the time gets closer.
James, do you get to Milwaukee anymore, or is Saint Louis your usual destination these days? Nearest I'll be to Houston is Dallas, prolly in January, then Austin in June.

| I have great respect and admiration for kirbic. His Second City still glitters in my mind and he is indeed well versed in the art of photography. He is also a gentleman and ready and willing to help out and encourage. An exceptional S/C member. |

Well, if anyone is ever coming to Nova Scotia, drop me a note. I haven't had a chance to meet anyone from DPC yet. I would love to give anyone a tour and go shooting together.
