The Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone, Arizona USA is one of the most interesting and famous places in the Old West of the United States. It was a saloon, opera house, brothel and home to perhaps the most famous poker game ever played.

Wyatt Earp's (of gunfighter fame) wife of some 47 years worked there as a prostitute before she met Wyatt. The famous poker game ran non-stop 24 hours a day for 8 years, 5 months, and 3 days back in the 1880s. Buy-in was $1,000 minimum and players often waited two weeks to get in.

I put up a gallery of images of Tombstone, Arizona USA that has a number of images taken inside the Bird Cage on PBase. It includes a picture of Wyatt's wife and the original license for her to be a legal prostitute that was signed by Wyatt himself:

I found this picture while post-processing some old images I took a long time ago and thought you might like it... I do. :)
