Anyone know what lens this is? A friend of mine was asking so I thought I'd post it here.
First time I've seen a zoom ring like this.

It appears to be a Tamron lens of some sort, though I cannot identify the exact model.

Tamron? Thanks.. that's a big help. Now I know which manufacturer to browse :D
Anyone who knows the focal length/apertures chime in to save me some work!

I've done a little more research and it appears to be the Tamron AF28-80 f/3.5-5.6 Aspherical.
