I would just like to say a prayer for the white family.
RIP Reggie White. 1961-2004
What a god damn shame :( He was an outstanding player, both for the Eagles and the Packers. He was only 43!

This is certainly a shock! What happened? I have not yet seen or heard anything in the news. |

Wow, that is a shock. Only 43 years old. Truly a shame.
Seems that the cause is as yet undetermined...

Just heard that on the radio, cause was "massive heart attack". He was literally and figuratively head and shoulders above his peers on and off the football fild.

Never mind, I don't want to get involved in a potential rant here.

out of bounds, boys! eric, if you have something that you believe needs attention, why not start your own thread? and fry, no need to get into it. at least for the respect of the dead, let's treat each other with a little courtesy.
edit: updated with fry's edit

You are right and I removed my flippant reply. Looks like I didn't remove it quite soon enough. I offer condolences to all who deserve them. |

Eric, you are welcome to start a thread for them if you like. This positive step to honor the memory of those who died in the quake would probably be more well-received than attacking a fellow member for a well-intentioned post.

Sorry, I did not hear about it until now. ESPN was all ready on when I woke up, and they were talking about Reggie. Sorry if I offended you.

I don't see that you have anything to apologize for. Expressing sympathy for Reggie White and his family in no way should be interpreted as not caring about a completely separate tragedy.
