I entered my next-to-last edit of my shot. I had entered it, decided it needed one more factor updated - and it really improved the shot I think. But then I forgot to change my entry. :(
Oh well...at least I'm consistant. My last 3 challenges have all been solid mid-5's. |

Come on!!!! 5.7949 is my current avg vote! You can do it people! Put it up over 5.816 and it will be my highest rated shot! You can do it! Mine's that one that pays tribute to that other one!!

I'm currently sitting with a really nice score. 123 votes and the highest I have ever had so far. According to this thread I guess I will finish somehow at the top 10 or 15 if this score remains as it is.
But it's not the score that makes me feel so good. It's the really nice comments. I would realy like to thank everyone who were commenting on my photo for some really motivating words!

Composition: a 3? I'm not sure I quite understand this one. I placed the subject of interest on a thirds line, there's a limit to how much different from the original I could be.
Technical: 2. I chose the image I chose on purpose. It was MEANT to look the way it does.
Appeal: 1. Well, yeah, if you're talking about the subject itself.
Challenge: 3. Bullshit. I want this explained after the challenge is over. That's rubbish. I met the challenge. 10.

I`ve gone through the pictures twice and I can`t see how any of the entries can score lower that an eight for challenge.
This challenge must of been the easiest chalenge to `Meet the challenge`
I gotta 4 in this category :)

I gotta agree. I was one of the ones who thought that style of voting would be good. I tried it and don't like it. I also don't like receiving them, it simply does not meet with all the variables needed when voting.
I'm going for a new record as well! Most comments during voting is 23 most overall is 24!

I am very pleased! When I thought something I did was very bad. I bow to the voter this round I broke six again, I think this challenge put everyone in good mood. This place is about learning and should be more of this!! I bow to SC to this one, bring more and maybe we try harder to show you some better pictures. I think lots of humor to break up the same old everyday, (excuse me Bullshit) that goes on.

My score was rising and holding steady till the last hour...bummer. Dropped to 5.14.
I voted last night...hard to decide on how to score - on the photo itself, on the connection to the original, or ?? Some I wasn;t sure what the original was they were trying to pay homage to. Real hard to vote on them.
If i can stay above 5 I will be ecstatic.
Please, all you folks go thru and add 1 to your vote.

Actually, I have not voted or commented on any, but I have seen one entry that did not tribute a ribbon winning photograph. It tributed a photo from a ribbon winning photographer. I think that would be the only way you might not meet this challenge. |

6.3 is a very good score for me, but only two comments (and one of them pretty meaningless). I guess it's because my shot is a straight replication/tribute, not an attempt at humor or heavy originality, as are many of the other shots. In other words, people see it as a respectable image, but nothing fantastic.

My image had been above 5.85 for most of yesterday, someone just knocked it down. And my comments include "interesting pic". Which, given that it's a tribute to an existing pic, is kinda funny ;)

I'm pretty happy with my score, considering I wasn't going to enter this challenge. I had the *ding* light go off in my head and I just had to try my idea. It would be close to my highest score ever, if my Holiday entry wasn't doing so well. |
