Yep, Japanese Santa just delivered a brand new Pentax *ist DS. He knew I already had a lens for it, so it was body only, and I already had some SD cards. Good thinking, Santa. |

I went up to Nikko this afternoon ... I can't really post many pics at the moment as they would give away my challenge entry.
But this is one from a famous old hotel. Can you see the famous person's name who stayed there just over 82 years ago?
One thing about the *ist DS is the minimum size of images is 1536x1024 pixels. I shall have to invest in a bigger SD card.
Philip, I'm thinking of 10 or 11 January, Seijin no Hi at Meiji Jingu. |

It is very hard to read and determine who you are referring to as the famous person. I am just guessing, but was it Albert Einstein?

Yes. Who knew he came to Japan way back then? I didn't. |

David,
What are you doing in Japan? I went to school there in the mid-70s and found it to be a wonderful experience that I still charish to this day.
Cheers,
Michael

I can't read it. It's written in Romaji or some other strange script.
