Hi, I was hoping that someone has this item or would at least know what this item is. I was at Best Buy today & saw this package that had Adobe Photoshop, a sketch pad & pen (that connect to the PC that you can use to edit your photos). I beleive the retail price at BB was $109 or $110. Does anyone have this? I plan on asking for it for Christmas, but I didn't get a model # or anything, don't even know the name of the package, just that it contained those 3 things. And I don't know which version of photoshop came with the tools they gave. I wanted to check out some online stores & see if I could get it for a cheaper price, but that's a little hard to do when you don't know exactly what you're looking for. Anyone know anything about this product (model #, name of package, if it works well)? Thanks. |

Yeah I already have 7.0, do you think the Tablet & pen will be compatable with Photoshop 7.0? |

Those Wacom tablets are great, and should work with PS 7 no problem.
Some notes:
I've seen that tablet cheaper (at least on sale) as low as $49 USD; check CompUSA or a catalog retailer.
PS Elements 1 is NOT "crippled" PS 7; it is an independent program with some of the functionality of PS 7. PSE 3.0 is out now, so these are really old bundles they are trying to liquidate.
The Painter program it comes with is supposed to have some of the most realistic brushes and filters. If your goal is to paint or draw on the computer, it is a valuable addition. If you are only using the tablet for photo retouching or masking it doesn't matter much. |

Thanks, yeah, once I saw what version it came with (1.0) I decided I'm just going to get the Tablet & Pen, because there's no point in paying extra money for a program I will never use.
It's mostly going to be used with PS7, so it's good to hear that it should work with it- since it's mostly for photo touch ups.
Thanks! |
