Good lord,,,,how can you stand all that cold.

Lemme see if I can recall most of last winter here,,,,,,oh yeah,,,,,
average for December and January .... -40, heating bills through the roof and so cold my poor old dog was afraid to lift his leg....

Most of the year we never close any of the windows in the house, come winter time and we have to close a number of them or it is too chilly in the morning. We also eat breakfast out on the lanai (deck) most of the year but come winter and there are many morning where it is just too cold to eat outside.

The sun also sets very early this time of year, around 5:45.

Life is rough in Hawaii during the long winter months but we know spring is coming so this keeps us going.

Tell me this, and try not to gloat too much: Do you ever have to turn on any kind of heat at all in your house?

Your not going to like this, nobody has heat in their houses, not needed.

Taken out the 'office' window about a minute ago. Basically a view of the Garden and the roof over the back porch.

The pine tree on the left is the Xmas tree we've got to put up tonight..

It's Midday here, give or take. 12.4 Degrees C, and a 18km/hr south-west wind. High overcast. Which is sorta sucky weather for this time of year here, being summer in NZ and all.

This is a bit like a 'come as you are party' for photography geeks.. Neat idea.

Cheers, Chris H.

In that case, I've got water too... Although in my case it's surface flooding on the road from the thunder/rain storms last night...

Weird weather for summer.
