I've seen a number of comments recently, here, bemoaning having to scroll to see the full height of portrait images. Presuming you're using a resolution of 1024x whatever, just try hitting f11 - that gives, in most browsers I believe, a fuller screen over to the images. it makes life so much easier, and you can switch back just as simply.
Obviously, this is for those who don't already know this.

works for firefox as well.
