I have just bought a new PC and it has Pinnacle DVD/CD Instant v8 on it.
The software its self looks good, but after speading a long time creating a slideshow (1000 pics) I tried burning it. After 2.5 hours, it had done 17% so I gave up. Then I created a smaller one (100 pics), which after about 30mins, had done 8%

Has anyone tried Pinnacle DVD/CD Instant write v8 for creating Slideshows? I was trying to create a DVD picture show.

I used to use Ulead PictureShow2, but only for VCDs, as I never had a DVD burner.

Any help would be appreciate.

In my opinion Photoded ProShow Gold is the best, it includes motion effects, allows audio tracks various text effects then produces its own web based OR self contained .exe files of your slide show
