Edit: Since some people are complaining about robbing them off options, this message is gone. Sorry about that.

Cool shot none the less.
I suppose we should title our pic with the original image so the voters can see how close we got?

i am a member at another site, and was going to copy a winner there for the broken challenge here...but then i had a better idea. My better idea is at 5.37...but who knows. I like mine better than the other winner.

I was thinking parody...here is proof of concept

But i found 2 others to try and copy - one indoor and one outdoor, just incase the weather fails me (again)

To me, this is the epitome of the type of challenge where we shouldn't be sharing our outtakes until after the challenge.

I feel this way because there is a limited database of material to work with (past dpc photos) and the potential of revealing someone else's idea is huge...

My thoughts only...

There are some 200+ challenges, and 3 choices per...and copy or parody of each - 1200 possibilities. Mathematecally there will be no duplicates...

This thread does demonstrate a couple of things:
-how difficult some images are to copy, even if you know what to do.
-which images are admired 'above and beyond' (the actual challenge will be better at that)

My woody outtake, now that i have shown it, I cannot use it or i will be DQ'd. So if you see that image in the challenge, how may DQ requests will it generate?

Also consider this: There is nothing in the rules to stop an entrant from re-shooting his winning photo, perhaps slightly better than before.

Well, how many memorable photos are there that have been entered in challenges? Certainly not 1200...

I would be willing to bet on duplicate ideas...which is fine, unless the idea that someone comes up with is posted on the forum several days before the challenge begins...

And mine, I think this for all challenges.

Its a shame you didn't stick with your shot. I think it is great, and I too would have given it an 8 or 9 (only knocking it down becuase the film didn't line up exactly perfectly.... )

If this is an outtake, then I'm in big trouble!
