My wife has a requirement to convert 100s of RAW images to JPG. I know that she could use PS CS as it has good RAW handling facilities as well as the ability to create batch jobs. However, as this is expensive for her employers, I was looking at alternatives.

As Elements 3 now handles RAW I was thinking of using that. However, I'm not sure about creating batch jobs. Does anybody know if this is possible?

Thanks, in anticipation.

Unfortunately, she can only use 'paid-for' software, not downloads and shareware etc. So, it's got to be something like PS.
So, I just need to find out if Elemetns can do the batch work that PS can.

Bibble is 'paid-for' software. It just happens to have a free trial period of 30 days, which is strictly enforced. The commercial is free, but the feature is not! The pro version of Bibble is $130 and quite feature rich.

C1 is similar, in that you can download a trial which expires.

Death to the shrink wrap!

I just looked at the PSE 3.0 Help function, and it appears that is would accomplish what your wife needs. I haven't had a chance to actually run through it, but here are a couple of quotes from Help:
