avatars would be nice -- not sure if this version of 'forum software' supports avatars though. It makes it something nice and easy to point out people when scrolling through the posts. I vote yes if it's not too much work. :-)

Well, it is always possible to put an avatar in your signature.
The problem might be for some people that it makes the pages larger, and thus they take longer to open for people on dialup ... as people constantly successfully prevent (although I know there are several other issues at stake)photos from being larger for challenges than they presently are.
I like the idea, but I think you'll find a fair amount of resistance to it.
