I have a canon powershot s30 and I'm trying to figure out the highest dpi I can set it to. Does anyone know the dpi that this camera can produce? I set it to the largest image size, and the superfine resolution, but I'm not exactly sure what the dpi would be. I think that its 72 dpi. Any help would be great. Thanks.

jdw, what you will get is an image that's 2048 X 1536 pixels @ 180dpi
without messing with size/resolution, that gives you a 5X7 photo at approx. 300dpi
of course, you can always upsize it (carefully). I print 8x10 with no problems and no loss of quality.

i take all my photos in the RAW mode, that way you can be sure that you will always get the best out of every shot. |

Thanks for the information. I felt like I read through all the documentation that came with the camera and couldn't find any mention of the dpi or any formulas that would tell the the dpi based on the image size and resolution I set it at. Thanks. |
