hey guys!

i got a problem (challenge if i may ...). i bought a Sony DSC Cyber-Shot F-717 recently and it was working fine till last week. now when i shoot still images they come out realy bright (whitish and foggy with white stripes across, the white stripes come on only occasionaly). know any reason as to why this is happening. all other features (video mode, night framing, etc) are working fine. i even tried reseting the camera back to its factory defaults... NO LUCK. Sony support and a few others tell me its got somthing to do with "white balancing". i tried a few things inline with the user guide, yet ... SAME RESULT. have i messed up a setting in the camera. anyone got experience in a F717 (Cyber-Shot), help out please. to make matters worse, i am in a Asian Country on assignment (SRI LANKA) and don't know where to even find a service center. i've come across a few topics on here regarding the F717, so i bet u guys can help me. if u can at least give me some useful tips on white balance with regard to this Camera (may be stuff not stated in the manual), it'll be great.

P.S. u can also email me at thilaand007@yahoo.com and with regard to the second reply, it did work fine for a couple of weeks in Sri Lanka.

thanx guys
