Hi Southern Cal DPCers...

I was over in LA from Phoenix last weekend and got to take some pictures. Thanks for your suggestions of places for me to go. I put some of the ones I took up in a PBase gallery. Hope to meet up with some of you for a photo safari some day.

John... I had not seen that one before, thanks for pointing it out! It is a beautiful shot!

It was great meeting you and Tom today and hope to see you on many other outings in the future. It was good to see Arie and Greg as well.

Sorry I missed the FLW homes side trip. Hope it was worthwhile. Did you get to Balboa Lake? This is a link to some of the shots I took there last winter. These were taken with a Tamron 70-300 as I did not yet have the 100-400.

I had not seen that photo before either. Not sure how I missed it. It's a great photo!

Chuck,
The homes on Carroll Ave are incredible! You should go see them sometime. It took us about 3 min to get there, if that, from where we were parked. The 101 freeway is about 1 min from that street too! So, definitely visit in the future!

John & Tom,
It was great meeting both of you! You are both very easy to spend the day with and shoot with! I love the group we have! It's so nice to have such interesting, kind and sincerely great people to shoot with!

I'll go post in Feb's thread to get that one rolling! My photos for January are ok. I think I could have done better, but I was enjoying the day regardless. My niche is animals, plants, sunsets and people shots. I got some people shots, but was struggling with the scenery shots. I just didn't find them exciting after reviewing them on my computer. I'll post some of my favorites in a link and share that with you soon :)

Oh, thanks for sharing so soon! I really love the pink hat mannequin! There are excellent photos there. I'd love to see them larger actually, but don't worry about it :)

Thanks...I know you came late on Saturday, but I like the few that you posted. I especially like your Ped Xing shot... you should have entered it into the road signs challenge!

It was a fun day. I actually was pleased with more of my photos than I thought I would be. Looking forward to the next one (hopefully I can make it!)
