How about Jan 29th? It is the week before the Superbowl, so no football will interfere. A month away, planning wise. And with luck, we'll get teh end of januay thaw and have moderate temps!

Do we want to maybe plan a location?
Sugestions:
Station Square, Carnegie Museum, Aviary, Zoo, Heinz History?

Thanks Alan. Maybe we can get some sports action photography tips from you while we're there. We're big cycling fans and want to prepare for the up comming season.

too late to join the party? haha! Hey guys Im with lykofos -- the more meets the merrier. Lets just schedule them in and whoever makes it is great and those who don't we'll see 'em next time. :) Im up for the 8th with Dave and Mike..... and also up for the 29th with Chris and Alan.

OT: does any PGH DPC'ers get into infared? Im looking for advice on a lens purchase.

Station square sounds good. Like I said before, I work at 3PM, so I'lll have to leave around 2:15PM.

lol, I get out of work at 11:00PM, so we will all meet around midnight and go from there! At 2:00AM we can get funny photos of all the drunk people staggering out of the bars for portrait practice.

I can swing 8AM, although I'm not usually out of bed before noon most of the time. How bout the rest of you?

No night shoots until i get my dSLR and 50mm 1.8 lens. THEN hell yeah, lets go for it.

I have been to SSquare, but am not enough familiar with it to pick a place to meet - is there a coffee shop or something?

I can find the entrance to the Gateway Clipper or the T stop across Carson street.

According to MSN Maps & Directions, to make an 8:00 AM outing I'd have to leave home at about 3:55.

Would anyone mind 9:00 AM, or alternately could I meet up with you all at 9?

Im in for 8 AM or earlier... If its on at 8 AM I'll definatlely be up to West end lookout before hand to catch the sun coming up...otherwise lets say 8am for everyone 9am for clubjuggle. We'll meet at the ramp to the clipper fleet. that early in the am there should be lots of free parking.

HOpefully weather will permit a long shoot so bring warm clothes.

Station square and incline
PGH Aviary
Zoo
North Side city life(mexican war streets etc etc)
Science Center
2 Stadiums
Downtown Buildings, artwork, abstract stuff

Theres plenty to shoot... we just have to push the button!!!!!!!

I suppose we'll be there at 9 for Clubjuggle as well?

I will have a rebel, UPS willing. Either i get a used one this weekend froma friend that is considering changing, or i order on Monday from adorama. Takes 3 days...thursday arrival.

Now where is the link to the wasia hack?

As long as I have a cell phone number of one or more people in the group, and someone willing to give me directions from wherever I park, I can call you guys when I get there.
