Are you in the Pittsburgh, PA vicinity? Want to get together with others with a similar interest (photography...)?

We had a small get together today (Dec 4) and would like to do another with more folks, probably meet in the Oakland area for some urban subjects.

A date has not been set (early January?), but most likely a Saturday Morning, possibly early to get the 'good light'.

Where is Millersville?

We met in Moon at Denny's and then tried to get some airplane photos, but we were not at the end of the right runway. I got the following shot, and on teh way home got a better one (I think) for Landmarks, so this one is a reject.

We had fun anyway - Alan is driving today to Jacksonville FL for tommorow's Steeler game - he MIGHT get a yellow challenge entry (gold, yellow whatever...).

12 hour drive each way. Might be in the running for the farthest drive to get a pic for a Challenge!

Millersville is near Lancaster, PA... about 45 minues east-southeast of Harrisburg.

I'm actually not terribly far from there and might be interested.

Or....you guys could come down south here for some Cincy area shots. There's a cool icefest in town in January.

I'd love to come to pittsburgh, but its hard for me to day just a one day thing there. Im thinking of taking a long weekend there.

I am off Fridays and Mondays if you think a day or part therof with me is tolerable.

I am free the weeknd of 8/9. Not free on the 15th. If we can get something confirmed i can get off work...i work 3pm onward on sat/sun - that way we don't have to meet at dawn and deapee can make it.

If all goes according to plan, I will have a D30 by then!

hey...whatever you guys wanna do, just let me know -- I'm free 99% of the weekends. And as far as someone wanting to go shoot something, send me a PM and I'm there. I don't know of any ribbon-winning locations (hehe, obviously), but I'm always up for trying ;-) Post it up on FM as well as I don't know if dentman and lykofos check here that often.

I can't believe I didn't see this thread sooner. I'm always up for a shoot as well. As some of you already know, the schedule I have to work is usually shitty. Here's my weekend work schedule for the next few weeks.

Jan 1st - I'm off, but too hungover to do anything except regret drinking that much alcohol, 2nd: 7-3PM, 8th & 9th: 3-11PM, 15th & 16th: 7-3PM. My promotion to supervisor happens somewhere around the 19th, so after that I won't be working weekends anymore! Woohooo!

Why don't we push it back a few weeks to a time when some of the out-of-towners can make it? It might be more fun to try to put it off a little longer and get a few more warm bodies...
