I have 2 great photo's of my daughter, and I was considering submitting them to a Stock Photo site. But then I was thinking about all the weirdo's in the world and I started to reconsider. Would you submit photo's of your child for the world to see? Or am I just being overly concerned?

If there are no full names are addresses attached to the photos, what harm can there be? |

I agree with scalvert; as long as there are no names or addresses attached, it seems a safe endeavor.
I'm not a parent, but I am a godparent, and an aunt, and I think it's harmless. Look around at ads that you see every day with photos of children, they're everywhere. I have acquaintances whose children model and do commercials, and their photos have been used in print ads. |

As long as the photos of your kids are of the normal and everyday kind, I think normal and everyday people are the ones who are going to view them.
Yeah, there are weirdos out there but don't let them influence your life. You have more to worry about from the potential wierdos that live around you and have possible access to your child than anyone who might see a simple photo of your child on a website advertisement or print add with no name or address. |

I agree. Childrens pictures are used all the time in stock sites, commercials, catalogs etc. As long as there are no names used and you don't say anything about them being yours, there is no way for anyone to know who they are. I have done quite a few children shoots and they have all signed release form for me to use them online for my site and stock site. |

I already am, and plan to do more. If they are ordinary kids doing ordinary kid things, there's really not much any "weirdos" can do with it anyway.
Heck, I even have a stock photo of Isaac Playing Doctor : ) |
