After digging around to find the original file for my Frozen Leaf shot, I stumbled across an old shot I really liked. Using some new post-processing techniques I've read about here (biggest new discovery was using quick masks to make gradients for darkening skies and lightening land.)

Please let me know what you think of the shot and processing.

Thanks,
Ara

I really like the picture. It would make an excellent landscape if it werent for the sign and the tree in the way of the sunset. I would recommend cropping off the dirty snow on the bottom of the picture. It expands the depth of field, but is not the nicest thing to look at.

I think the dirty snow and sign are the integral part of the photo (giving it context - side of a mountain road) which sets it apart from a regular landscape/sunset photo...this seems to be reflected in the photo's caption/title.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Yes, the snow and sign are part of what I was trying to express in the shot. But, I can see how one might find them distracting.
