I'm absolutely in LOVE..
This is a dSLR that feels like a prosumer in the hand. My s7000 feels heavier. (and quite possibly is). It might not be the highest quality dSLR on the market, or come with all the bells and whistles, or be capable of putting out images of awe-inspire like a 20D or a MKIIDs or anything that other people than me care about..

but man, is it ever nifty. Nifty = good. I will kill for one now, and the saving has begun.

Want want want want want want want.

I haven't read the magazine yet, but I'm pretty sure that's the one on the cover of Popular Photography & Imaging Magazine, their calling it the Digital Wonder!

I'll have to go home and take a peek at it.

I've got a brochure (in Japanese) on the *ist DS. I haven't had the chance to see one in a shop yet, so don't even know how much it's supposed to cost. But I was contemplating a Pentax as I have a Pentax film camera and the lens would fit. But I have to wait until after my winter/summer vacation (winter here, summer in Australia) before I can really consider the much-needed upgrade.

I had a play around with an *ist DS this afternoon. It's pretty cool. Also the new Olympus E300 and the Nikon D70. I like playing around with the store display cameras. :-)
