I have noticed that all of the first four collaborative projects have been announced during US daytime/normal business hours.

As someone who cannot access the site from work, I would like to suggest to the creators of any future projects that you offer a signup period of, say, 24 or 48 hours. I believe this would be fairer as it would allow users who cannot access the site from work or from home, as well as users in other parts of the world (read: different time zones) an equal opportunity to participate. Should you receive more users than you need, some type of predetermined selection method (random or otherwise) could be used to choose the eligible participants.

I believe this would be fairer to all potential participants.

I think you have a good point, Terry.
While we're on the subject of Collaborative Projects, I'm wondering if we need a new forum category for them. They seem to have dominated the top of the list since they started--and with so much to discuss about our projects they're bound to keep popping to the top, perhaps mucking up the view for others who aren't participating or interested.

The thought has crossed my mind, but such a move would be premature right now. If they become a persistent thing we can of course revisit this.

What KaDi mentioned is one of the reasons why I don't want to be a part of any projects like that anymore. I had a think about it after posting a happy DPC reply and I thought that it wasn't the way to do it.

Ignore thread works very well on them all.

I'd like to figure out a way for us all to point to the same printable file when we "market" it at least for the projects John's organizing. For people who just want to sell it unmodified, it seems kind of a waste of space and bandwidth for us to each upload the same file.

very good hint.
Now I can ignore all the threads I'm not interested in and focus on the ones I am interested in
Way cool

It's a pop-up menu at the top of the thread -- "thread options" -- next to the list of pages

A couple of days' flurry of activity is not persistent. If collaborative projects become a regular occurrence over a significant period of time, then the issue would merit discussion. I don't think it makes sense at this point to create a folder for what might well be a passing fad.

I must be missing some.
I did a search on the word "Collaborative" and certainly didn't find 16 collaborative projects even though there was one numbered 16. I couldn't even work out which were number 1 and 2!
