I looked for a thread regarding the Authority Challenge - I see the winner of 3rd place has changed.

What happened to the photo that originally held 3rd place?

Hope it's ok to ask here.

The third place photo was DQed for being taken outside the challenge dates.

thanks a lot i'm really happy about it. What difference a ribbon makes, i was happy in a way that 4 place was good but at the same time sad. so near but yet so far! :) now when i went to profile and i saw a yellow ribbon i thought is this a joke, then came back to the home page and saw the photo and just burst out with joy. :)
thanks everyone.

That's brilliant! See, now we can put a stop to all the threads from people wishing voters would put more thought into their comments.

hey, socool, even though you got dq'd, you still have proven that you have what it takes! good luck in the future!

skip

btw, you have also uncovered another *bug* in the system: your profile page shows both a count of 1 challenge, as well as stating that you have not participated in any challenges, yet. i wonder how many others have ribboned and been dq'd in their first attempt?

Thanks Skip/ I will take its as a complementary. Also Congrats to Discraft/ for his yellow ribbon.

I'm pretty sure at least one, and maybe as many as four or five.

My mistake ... one of the ones I was thinking of, it was his third entry which ribboned and was then DQ'd, not his first. He's on the Site Council now ...

There was a guy about 9 months or so ago who shot a wonderful landscape with birds and whatnot. He got first place at his first attempt but was dqed when it was revealed that he used spot editing. I haven't seen him since.

Please be advised the results of the Authority challenge have been recalculated. The entry previously ranking in 5th place was disqualified due to no response to a request for original.
