I know it's too late and the voting is over... But still, here's a (dumb) outtake from my Black & White II challenge entry. The unedited version of this one did not strike me at first (about 5 minutes before deadline) and I just took the first look at them since... I think this one has a lot of qualities. Just tought I'd show it to you folks!



Compared with the actual entry underneath.

i woulda given it a 8, but that being said i think it would have ended up about around a 5.0

Hey there, grandmarginal. I like the outtake a lot better than your original submission. Let's just say I scored your original somewhat higher than your final average for the challenge. :)

I would have scored this one a 6. Perhaps a square crop might work better, just a thought.

Thanks for your score! I appreciate your suggestion and I even tried it but then I lost all that black shadow and... I like it too much to remove it.

I really like your outtake a lot. I definitely would NOT crop away the negative (black) space. It adds interest to the shot.
