From Helen: We wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for us, however we did not get enough votes to win the wedding. A very nice young couple are the ones who won. We had a lot of fun doing this and we did get pretty far. Just not enough people like you all taking 2 minutes out of their day to think about someone else and helping us. We get some sort of gift package that we will probably be receiving in the next week.
Alas, it was not meant to be, but thank you from me too!

| well, they do seem like a very nice couple, and i am sure they will do very well in their marriage - dream wedding or no dream wedding... i wish them lots of happiness together. irina. |

I thought they had won for a minute because I got an email that said:
You've selected our wedding couple. Now help us plan Brendan and Leslie's wedding.
This week help us select the reception location.
Since you're already registered, just click the link below to see the selections and then cast your vote.
When you have selected your favorite, you will be required to type in your registered email address and click the cast vote button to cast your vote.
Your vote has been counted only when you are at the webpage that reads, Thank You for your vote.
I didn't remember the names, but it said "I had selected the wedding couple". So I went to find a thread to confirm.
Sorry they didn't win... darn, no cake for me ;)
Edit: Corrected "one" versus "won" -- what was I thinking!

As for the emails, I'm really sorry about those, it appears they are using the emails collected to start spamming people to continue voting on the other things. I sent them a very STRONG email saying this was not good and if it continued I would be checking with a lawyer about harassment. I'm really sorry to all those who recieived the emails afterwards.

Thats the reason I use Mailinator for anything like this. They can spam all they want, I'll never see it :P

Just out of curiosity, was this 'Brendan and Leslie' that won the couple that actually looked 'right' in the photographs?
Still wishing the best for the couple -- all of them for that matter.
