It seems that no matter what I do I can't get a great shot in bright sunlight. My shots all come out pretty good but they don't have that clarity that I see in a lot of people's photos. I mean this should be the easiest condition --very quick shutter. I know my G1 is getting old, but it still takes some great shots.

Does anyone else have a problem with bright sunlight or does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm just guessing here, but maybe the out of focussness is due to glare from the sun. What happens if you go into manual and set the shutter speed even quicker?

Mag told me the other day that to get maximum sharpness, even when using a tripod and remote, use the quickest shutter speed you can without being under-exposed.

This small tip has helped my get much sharper photos, even on still life's with a tripod and timer.
