I'm sure that I've seen something somewhere about setting up a web-based gallery but I cannot find it now! So, I apologise if this has already been discussed ad infinitum.
However, I'd like to set up a web-based gallery to display some of my photos. My initial thoughts:
I have a couple of software packages to create online albums which I could then host from my website.
I use a specialist online service. Any suggestions?
I use the DPC option. Is this available to non-DPC users if I wer to point them in this direction?
Any tips/suggestions/advice?

If you have someone to set it up for you, or can do it yourself, check out coppermine.sourceforge.net -- the best there is among the free ones.

If your web-hosting provider offers PHP, my personal preference for a free, but feature-packed online gallery is Gallery. It also has a companion program called Gallery Remote that makes it a breeze to upload photos from your PC to your gallery once you have it configured. |

Do you have Adobe Photoshop? You can create a web gallery pretty easy with that. |
