I tried piggy backing this question onto a 20D thread about eyecups, but
I didn't get an answer, and I did some searching and I'm more confused.
First, it appears that the Rebel EF eyecup that comes with the Rebel is only the rubber grommet that you see around the eye piece. Not much of an eyecup.
I wanted a more traditional one, and I seem to have this one, which must have come with one of my Canon cameras. I've only had three Canon camera: the Rebel, the G2, and the ZR-85(video).
So where did I get this eyecup. What does it fit? The size is closer to the eyepiece of the Rebel than the G2 or ZR-85.
I want it to fit the rebel!
1) What is it? (model #, camera it's for)
2) Can it be used with the Rebel?
3) Where can I get one like it that will fit the rebel?

I have the identical eyecup. It came with my AE-1 back about 20 years ago. I tried to fit it on my DRebel. You have to remove the one that came with the cam, but it JUST doesn't fit. Very close, but no cigar.
I'm sure you can find an eyecup that fits the DRebel. Perhaps look on B&H's site, or on Ebay.
Good luck.

Thanks Mario. I just wonder where I got that eyecup!
I went looking to see if anyone has found one, and I found this link to someone who has.
He found one at a local shop that fit: The part number is DL-0126P and it's labeled Eye Cup-f/Maxxum. It cost $9.95 in the local shop.
But so far, looking for this on the web, I can't find one.
