Hi,

I know someone will be able to help me with this one: How do I include a hyperlink in my signature for email using Outlook Express? I know I can do it by just typing in the url as text, but I want a Click Here type of link. There doesn't seem to be a way, but I would think there should be and that I'm missing something. The code for doing it here doesn't work, and neither does basic html web code. I also know I can do the "click here" type of link manually each time I write an email. But I want it done automatically in my signature, and they have no option for that. Is it possible?

Thank you,

Mark

Save your hyperlinked signature in an html file, then select the file in Edit Signature/File.

Darn, and here I thought I was going to be all genius for having figured that out. But at least now I know too.

Of course, you still have to send the file as html/plain text. If it is only plain text, it should still deparse the html.

Thank you for your responses all, but I'm still having a problem with this. I know it sounded like I almost knew a little something, talking about codes and stuff, but I really don't know much about this stuff.

How do I save my hyperlinked signature in an html file? Using what? I know I can save something as an html file using "save as" then clicking the drop downdown and saving as html. But what am I saving? Do I write some kind of html code in MS Word or something? I think I need a step by step tutorial. I mentioned trying html code in my initial post, but I'm not even sure I got the code right. I wrote it down from a dummies book (I work in a book store) and when I got home, I wasn't sure about spaces and stuff...

Thanks again.

The html file will need (at the minimum) code like this:

Click" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">//www.adress.com/stuff">Click Here

Most html parsers ignore any spaces more than one character, unless you use the
tags. I would not suggest using word, the formatting word applies is pretty bad, use wordpad or notepad. Or just find an HTML writer (wysiwyg or otherwise).

I used notepad. I wrote BUY MY PRINTS SUCKERS That was it. Then I did a save as and saved it as sig.html. Then just upload that file in the little box that asks for it in the sig preferences.

You actually don't need the or tags. Just the is all that seems to be necessary.

All right, the browser will parse it, but it's still bad code :P
