We’ve started a small experiment to help bring more eyes to DPChallenge and attract new participants: we’ve launched official DPChallenge accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
The idea is simple — after selected challenges, we’ll share the Top 3 images, a short description of the challenge, and an invitation to join the community. It’s a zero-cost way to showcase the creativity here and (hopefully) encourage new photographers to jump in and strengthen the site.
You can find us here:
Instagram: @dpchallenge_official
Facebook Page: DPChallenge – Photography Challenges
If you’re on either platform, please consider:
- Following the accounts
- Liking or commenting on posts
- Sharing posts when you or others are featured
That kind of engagement really helps extend reach and gives DPChallenge a more visible, active presence beyond the site. This is very much a work in progress, and we’ll adjust as we go — but the hope is that, over time, these efforts will help bolster participation and keep the community healthy and growing.
Thanks, as always, for being part of DPChallenge and for helping make it what it is.

Mark, it may be a bit too little too late. It would also be a good idea to find out how many DPCers are active on Meta products.
I am lapsing my membership today, maybe addressing some concerns that I have raised with Site Council would stop me from doing this. I am not the only one who has stopped or slowed down entering challenges due to the reasons I raised.
I just looked at today's front page and not a single challenge would interest me. I am a landscape photog, there is nothing here for me. |

| I went on and commented. This is a great idea and I think if we all go on lots and lots of others will see it come up on their feed. I think it is a great idea and a great way to spread the word that we are here. Everyone loves instagram and if you really want people to see your winning pictures they will on instagram! |

Good idea. Btw on recent IG post, acronym challenge winners' titles are misaligned. Also, IG will often crop the photos if you don't adjust them (squish with fingers after uploading). 2nd and 3rd place have lost their verticality.

Did we just give up on this or do you want some help updating these channels? |
