I just heard on the news that Galen Rowell and his wife Barbara died in a chater plane crash this weekend. One of Galen's books that detailed the makings of some of his most famous photographs was my first inspiration to pick up a camera for more than snapshots when I was 12 or 13. Though I've gone on a totally different photographic direction than Galen with his incredible landscapes, I'd probably trade it all to be able to get some of his images.

Thanks for the link kimbly. He was an incredible photographer. I'd probably trade it all to be able to capture something similar to his work as well.
