Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a double-exposure effect using the rear flash effect. The plan, using a tripod, is to expose the set for around 10 seconds, and then, "Flash" it to freeze what's on the foreground. My problem is; i can't get the camera not to fire the flash before exposure. For some reason, it fires the flash at the begining and end of exposure (when i push on the button, and release it).

Tried with pretty much all the settings i could think of, and am operating in Manual at the moment...

Any help would be appreciated in correcting this little problem!

The initial flash is the "pre-flash" used to meter the shot. It happens while the shutter is closed and shouldn't contribute any light to the exposure.

I assume you're using the "rear" flash option, right?

I would agree with this statement. I shot the photo below using Rear Sync and I know the flash fired twice.
