I have had a number of entries recently and currently. The voting in DPL challenges is much harsher and suffers from much bigger drops. The only way I can explain this is that some players are low balling so that their teams can win. I believe that admins should identify these players and DQ them from the competition, they are spoiling fun for everyone else.

It doesn't necessarily have to be the reason. There are more participants in the DPL challenges. And statistically, participants score harsher than noon-participants. Not because they're trying to lower scores, but because they've thought through the challenges deeper, considered what was good, trite, impressive, artistic, and they know the challenge inside out. It's harder to be impressive when people have really delved into challenges deeply.

Also, I think people expect more from DPL, like they used to think with free studies. It used to be very difficult to score high in free studies, because people were going in expecting best of the month.

Just remember that whatever happens with a particular voter is likely across the board. Assuming they vote all.

This is true in regular challenges but I don't believe it is quite the same for DPL challenges.

I do. Believe it's pretty much the same for the League challenges, that is. There may be someone who actually cares enough to spend the time figuring out or guessing which images belong to their current opponents, but there can't be many. For me League play is fun and challenging and stimulating and gives me ideas and gets me out and gives me a chance to get welcome feedback from my team and I refuse to spoil it by thinking that someone else may be taking it entirely too seriously and nefarious and clever enough to try to vote manipulatively.

I will just say that voting during DPL is super difficult for me. I see so many entries that completely blow my mind. I mean they are taken by professional photographers. Including everyone who has posted in this thread so far. I mean your entries make my brain explode.

I don't give entries a score lower than a 3... If you entered you already have a 3 from me. But lately I've been giving out 10s like candy...
So yes, I'm struggling to try to develop a good voting system. If anyone can help me figure this out please let me know! I'm miserable here :-) Definitely overthinking. TIA.
