strange, 4 good comments and 1 favorite, one person mentioned that they didnt see how it met the challenge but the others did, so i am guessing that alot of people dont get it.....

No, not a "math guy" lol. I just happened to click on it one vote different that the previous time I clicked. By multiplying the previous number of votes and the previous score, and then adding the new vote (a guestimate) and dividing by the new number of votes, I knew what the vote was. It happened to be a 2 that gave me the exact new average. It only works if there is a single vote difference.

Kind of interesting. It has been climbing from about 5.00 from the first time I looked at it.
Interesting interpretations of time passing.
I think one of my outtakes would have done really well, since I did not see anything remotely similar in the challenge. I did not submit it , because I thought it would be overdone!

maybe its just me but the challenge was not "time passing" but the passing of time. I believe these are 2 different challenges.

Push! PUSH!
I wasn't really satisfied with this shot. I really, really wanted to do a 15 min exposure on the stars, pointed at the north star. Too bad it was cloudy except for the very last night of the challenge. I took the shot, but while I was exposing, clouds came in! Talk about misfortunes, huh? On my photo: I liked this concept, but I didn't do it very well. It's almost something that has to be done with digital art. Still, it was fun to shoot, I just wish I had a nice shot to prove it. Instead I have this one. :D |

I feel your pain, I had a similar idea for my shot however my camera can't take bulb/very long exposurse ... so I had to scrap that idea, I really wish I could have borrowed a camera. But my 2nd idea is struggling like yours at the 4.9XXX stage... only a few more days and maybe we'll hit that 5 ;-)

"illustrates the passing of time" would suggest movement to me and NOT killing time.
