It's been a few days of high drama in the DPC forums, with "dramatic resignations" and a fairly polarised debate on the Iraq war. I must admit to feeling a little jaded recently.
Then I checked my email this morning and received a PM from one of our number. This photographer had come across some photographs on the net of a subject that I had recently photographed and took the trouble of pointing them out to me (including a link) as they may be of interest. They were! But that's not the point.
This person knew my photos, made a connection, and took the trouble to write to (and help) me. "An unsolicited act of kindness from a stranger".
I learned a bit of a lesson today...not just about photography....about community.

I love these stories. I have told a couple of my own here of what this community, at its best, has taught me, too. I try to keep those in mind and ignore the garbage as much as possible, because DPC'ers really can be a very special group of folks to know.

Let me be the first to commend you! Boy, do we need more of this; Not only here but across the globe. Can you imagine what it would be like if we made such random acts of kindness a habit?!?
Thank you for posting!!!!
