I like the seagul, with the exception of crop/composition and what seems like weird coloring on the top wing. Almost looks like a chromatic aberration, which is strange. As far as composition, i would make this a horizontal shot with enough empty space on the right to provide the bird with some flying space... definitely wouldn't chop off the wing. And it kinda looks just slightly overexposed, perhaps a -.3 EV correction might have been in order.
The rest look more like random snapshots without much appeal to me personally, sorry. |

I like Bridges And Light the best. Awesome piccy! I think the first one is my second fave. The sharpness and bokeh on the seagull is awesome, as is the tight crop, although I agree partially with yurasocolov that I'd like to see the tip of his other wing.
Nice work! |

to try to fix the purple on the seagull's wings, try desaturating the magentas only.

Thanks for the comments. I agree about the cropping on the seagull. I was just doing the best with what I had to work with. I really liked the light and background. I was going for an impressionistic feel. The rest are what I have been able to eek out of the last three unending weeks of rain and clouds. I am feeling very stiffled by the weather and the time change.
Any one else have any comments? |
