I just heard about the terrible flooding in Texas, and my heart goes out to everyone impacted. Honestly, posting something as trivial as taking pictures of perfume bottles feels out of place right now. I wrote the following before I knew what had happened, and I hope it doesn’t come across as insensitive.
I bought a new perfume a few weeks ago - not only because I like the scent, but also because the green bottle looks so classy.
So the advertisement challenge came just in time to showcase this great bottle. I made a real effort...
But the result was not well received. My partner said it was unrecognizable as a fragrance, my colleague thought it was an urn at first. And I had to agree with both of them - that's why I started all over again: I borrowed this colleague's perfume, bought a bunch of roses and put together a completely new setup. At first I tried the picture with one of my pink bottles but I thought the borrowed bottle with purple and gold was prettier. It wasn't easy to find a proper focus point because of the double glass walls - and then there was the cap, which didn't fit properly.
But I'm very happy that the result was rewarded with the yellow ribbon.
