The bond and love that exists between a dog and a human...it's all there but most voters didn't recognize it. No-one even bothered to comment on it.
I have left the story behind my photo in the "Photographer's Comment" for those who on the off chance might be interested enough to read it.

Yes, number of comments is low. I also did not feel the urge to leave any comments in the challenge this time.
But that does not mean that voters did not recognise the connection. You finished 9th so quite good.
I think the story expressed in your image is quite clear.
Sorry about the loss of your good friend.

It would have helped a lot had the challenge title been something like "Pets and Their People". The bit about the owners, found solely in the description, obviously went unnoticed by many - entrants and voters alike.

If nobody leaves comments, nobody gets comments. It's as simple as that.
And I agree with Nam that the title of the challenge didn't fit the description. |

But there's nothing in the Challenge description about "owners" at all. Here is what the challenge description said:
Take an image that captures the bond between domestic animals and humans. |
Right. And I did think your entry did fit that description; others thought so, too.
My comment was intended only to address the fact that the challenge title was simply "Pet Photography" while the description added the significant information that it should depict a bond between domestic animals and humans. That's why I added my parenthetical disclaimer. It appears now that I should not have made the comment in this thread at all as the thread was apparently supposed to be about your entry alone. I should also have taken the time to go back to the challenge description and get it word for word instead of making the generalized "owners" comment. Sorry. |
