Not really an outtake - I had several candidates but loved the one I entered from the moment I took it and never seriously considered an alternate. But I wonder . . . would this have done better with a different title?

This is one of those times when I thought the "right" title could make a real difference . . . and when I had the time to do something about it. So I solicited suggestions from a number of people. I got quite a few I could relate to and ended up with a toss-up. Went for "At Loose Ends" because I thought it was generally relatable (could pertain to anyone and everyone at sometime), apt, and not too specific (I rejected Wired and Crossed Wires for that reason). I also really liked Peek-a-boo, Perplexing, Slow Reveal, and Pole Dance. In fact, I was so taken by the last that I worked up a couple of edits to make it more in-your-face :)

I even drafted a question to SC about legality of this in this situation, but decided the answer would be "no" :)

Very much appreciate all the comments I received during voting. Penny's and Michelle's made me think I might have done better with "Perplexing".

I prefer your entry. The title hardly ever does impact my score.

Only if people use the title to squeeze an image into the challenge, i.e. it is a poor fit but they try to make it fit with the title. That makes me pay extra attention and can affect my score negatively.

In the case of abstract, I was surprised to see that people used the title to explain what I was looking at. But it did not affect my score.

I sometimes like to play with titles... try putting different titles under the same image and see if your reaction to it changes.

Changing an image to fit a title is not something I would have thought of trying. But in this case maybe it works. Does it help? IDK, I like your entry.

Thanks, Willem and Penny. Appreciate your thoughts. Also appreciate the comment you left on the 3rd of my "outtakes", Penny. I did explain what this is a photograph of in response to that comment.
